This is an advanced level course which will equip you with the wide variety of skills and knowledge that you will need if you are looking ahead to employment in the manufacturing industry, including advanced manufacturing and automation.

Duration:

  • Full-time: in this one year course you will complete the National Certificate through attendance with the MA group above on a Thursday and Friday, plus an additional slot on manual milling and manual turning delivered earlier in the week. Therefore, the programme will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of manufacturing at SCQF level 6 in preparation for employment within the industry.
  • Modern Apprenticeship: one year part-time (two days per week, Thursday and Friday. Where this provision is part of an MA, you must be employed within the industry).
