Did you know that a Culinary Arts HNC or HND qualification is the equivalent of first year (HNC) or second year (HND) of a similar degree at university?

So depending on the subject studied, successfully completing an HNC or HND in Culinary Arts at Fife College could mean that you have the opportunity to progress on to Year 2 or 3 of a related BA, BA (Hons), BSc, BSc (Hons) on MA (Hons) degree course at one our partner universities in Scotland.

Certificate: Bakery

Want to develop your bakery skills? This course will help you gain the practical experience, knowledge and qualifications needed for a job in the Bakery Industry. This course will build on your love of baking. You'll have the opportunity to train in specialist areas such as pastry, bread making, and cake decorating. with excellent career opportunities and progression routes. You will run a coffee shop and serve freshly baked delicacies, building on your customer service skills.

Intermediate Certificate: Bakery

Are you looking for a career in a bakery or catering outlet?  You will learn about craft baking, and the art of making bread and dough products, as well as gaining specialist knowledge in basic pastry, desserts and cake decoration. You will learn about food hygiene, customer care and the service of food and beverages.  This hands-on course will give you the opportunity to experience what is required for preparing, producing, promoting, and selling food products as part of an enterprise activity including running our successful in house bakery.  This course includes a work placement in the local area.

The aim of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and skills required for a career within the Hospitality industry.
