Fife College HND Media and Communications student Sharrell Carroll has taken advantage of the College's state-of-the-art recording studios to create a podcast series for Spotify outlining the college’s sustainability and net zero commitments.
Sharrell has recorded a six-part series, called CampusCast: Showcasing Sustainability, at the College's recording studios with a host of guests; including college principal Jim Metcalfe, David Torrance MSP, Zero Waste Scotland and Balfour Beatty.
The chats revealed the innovative net zero-ready work underway at the DLC campus as well as the slew of training undertaken by College staff to become sustainability leaders.
Sharrell said:
"This podcast project is not just an assessment for me; it's a passion project deeply rooted in my commitment to giving back to our college community. I felt a profound sense of achievement knowing that I was contributing to something more meaningful for our future.
"The knowledge and skills I gained throughout my time with Fife College have been invaluable, and I'm incredibly grateful for the chance to put them into practice to showcase the new Net Zero Ready Campus in Dunfermline.
"It’s inspiring to witness the dedication of the amazing team working behind the scenes of this ambitious build. Their expertise and commitment to achieving Net Zero targets have been instrumental in shaping the future of the new campus. I'm honoured to be a part of this transformative journey and excited to see the positive impact the new Net Zero Dunfermline campus will have on future generations to come."
