Fife College has welcomed students through the doors of its brand-new Dunfermline City Campus for the very first time today (30 October), marking a major milestone in the College’s history.
As Scotland’s first net-zero-ready tertiary education building, the new campus sets a bold standard for the future of learning, offering students an exceptional experience with state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance every aspect of their studies.
To commemorate the move from the former Halbeath Campus to the new Dunfermline City Campus, College Principal Jim Metcalfe led colleagues on a morning walk between the two sites – a symbolic gesture celebrating this exciting new chapter for the College.
Fife College’s new Dunfermline City Campus brings together purpose-built teaching spaces, digital and creative labs, and flexible social areas that promote learning, wellbeing, and collaboration across the College community.
Every element of the new campus has been carefully designed to support innovation and sustainability, reflecting Fife College’s commitment to creating an inspiring environment for students today and for generations to come.
Jim Metcalfe, Principal of Fife College, said:
“Today marks a great day in the history of Fife College as we welcome students to the new Dunfermline City Campus for the very first time.
“This is so much more than a new building – it’s a next-generation learning space that embodies our values of innovation, sustainability, and community.
“Every area of the campus has been created with our students and colleagues in mind, providing an inspiring environment to learn, collaborate, and grow.”
Fife College’s new Dunfermline City Campus represents a transformational investment in education for Fife. It is part of the wider Dunfermline Learning Campus, which brings together Fife College, St Columba’s RC High School, and Woodmill High School in a purpose-built, collaborative learning environment.
