Student Support & Funding

Inclusion

The Inclusion Team are here to support students with anything that might make learning or participating in college life more challenging. This could include a learning difficulty, disability, health condition, or any other additional support need.

If there’s something creating a barrier to learning, a great first step is for students to speak with Inclusion. The team are full of ideas and practical solutions to help make learning more accessible, and appointments are available in person, on Teams or over the phone, whatever suits best. We create a 'Personal Learning and Support Plan' (PLSP) which will provide us with background information, recommendations for support and if any alternative assessment arrangements are required. Appointments are available throughout the year, and these can be requested by contacting inclusion@fife.ac.uk or giving us a call. More info can also be found on the Inclusion Team here.

Personal Learning Support Plan

We want to ensure you have the best possible experience at college. Please note that any support you received at school does not automatically transfer over to college. It's essential that you inform us as early as possible about any support you may need.

To avoid any potential delays, we recommend contacting our Inclusion team before the term starts. We are available throughout the summer break to assess your needs and develop a personalised support plan.

While the support at college may differ slightly from what you received at school, we are committed to providing the necessary assistance to help you succeed. The earlier we know how to assist you, the better we can tailor our support to meet your needs.

We look forward to working with you to create a supportive and successful college experience!

Student Funding

The Student Funding Team are here to help guide students through the funding process as we know money and funding are major considerations for most students.

We have funds to support with living expenses, travel, childcare and housing. There is lots of information on our website and appointments are available at all our campuses or we can be reached on the main college phone number if you have any queries.

Funding (Internal and SAAS)

The Guidance team work closely with the Student Funding team to help students know what funding they are eligible for, to help complete the application and access discretionary funding when in financial difficulty.
